The footplates of our longspan shelving units come with pre-drilled, 12mm holes, which will take an 8mm dynabolt or similar fastener that can be used to secure the units to the floor. 

If the floor is uneven, we recommend you add one or more of our 1.5mm thick, floor leveling plates (shim plates) to your shelving installations. They fit under the footplate of the shelving units and can be used singly or stacked to adjust the shelving unit so that it is level. The shape of the leveling plate and the base plate of the shelving unit match for a neat finish.

The plates will enable you to create level runs or rows of shelving when the floor is uneven. This is important for safety and stability, when the racking is intended for storing heavy weight items and stock.
