WHAT IS A BAY OF SHELVING?
A "bay" is the term for one full package of shelving. Each bay is made up of the following components: uprights, beams, decks and locking pins. Our bay's come with 4 shelves or levels as standard.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A STARTER AND AN ADDON BAY?
A Starter Bay has 2 uprights and can stand independently. While an Addon Bay has only 1 upright and cannot stand alone. An Addon Bay is designed to attach to another unit in order to form a connected row of shelving.
DO YOU YOU HAVE A SHOP OR SHOWROOM WHERE I CAN VIEW THE SHELVING?
We don't have a shop or showroom, where you can view or shelving. Our third party warehouse hubs in Sydney and Melbourne are just that: specialists in storing products and handling pickups and deliveries. It's been a deliberate choice to not have a retail shop/ display showroom in order to keep our costs low and concentrate on our core business of providing great service and value for money pricing on our quality range of products.
CAN I BOLT THE LONGSPAN SHELVING TO THE GROUND?
Yes. Our longspan shelving units are generally stable on a smooth, flat surface. However, if you have heavy items or the floor is uneven, the units can be fastened to the floor for extra security. There are 12mm holes in the footplates that allow the units to be bolted to the floor with Dynabolt or Boa Coil fasteners. For more information, check out our blog post, here.
CAN YOU MAKE CUSTOM SHELVING TO MY SPECIFICATION?
Yes. For orders of 30 units or more we can customise the shelving to your exact specifications. (eg. 2m wide X 0.4m deep X 1.7m high). There is a 6-8 week lead time for custom orders. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?
You can place an order in a number of ways:
  • Online via our website or EBay store

CAN I COME BY NOW AND BUY SOME SHELVING STRAIGHT AWAY?
Working with third party warehouses, as we do, helps us keep our costs low, but it means we need to follow a process when getting your items ready for pickup and delivery. So unfortunately it's not possible to just come by and buy some shelving.

Our process begins with an order. Once the oprder is finalised we contact the warehouse, who then get your items ready to go. We do what we can to expedite an order if it's urgent, but generally your goods will be ready for pickup and delivery 1-2 days after we receive an order.

WHAT ARE YOUR BUSINESS HOURS?
Our business hours are as follows:
  • Office - 9:00am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri
  • Sydney Warehouse (Eastern Creek) - 9:30am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri
  • Melbourne Warehouse (Dandenong South) - 7:00am to 3pm, Mon-Fri
WARRANTY AND RETURNS?
All Falcon Shelving™ products have a 3 year nationwide warranty. If the product has quality issues such as broken uprights, broken welding points, etc. that are not damaged by an external force, then we will replace the damaged items with brand new products.

Please take clear pictures of the damaged product and email it to service@falconshelving.com.au including a detailed description of the damage, how and when it occurred and a copy of your receipt. Our service team will assess the situation and contact you within 24 hours.

Payment Information

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?
We can accept payment in the following ways:
  • Online via crebit/ dedit card and PayPal
  • Via EFT to our nominated bank account
  • Via the "Pay Now" online facility attached to our invoices
  • Over the phone via credit/ debit card
We accept Visa, Mastercard and Amex cards.
ARE THERE DISCOUNTS FOR VOLUME PURCHASES?

Deliveries and Pickups

HOW DO METRO DELIVERIES WORK?
In the Sydney and Melbourne metro areas, we use a local freight company for deliveries and we offer fixed price shipping:
  • 0-150Kg (up to 2 units) = $56.90
  • 151-350Kg (3-5 units) = $64.40
  • 351-700Kg (6-10 units) = $149.00
CAN I PICKUP THE SHELVING MYSELF?
Yes, you're welcome to pick up your products from our third party warehouses in Sydney and Melbourne, once your order has been finalised and the goods are ready. The location of our warehouse hubs and their operating hours are as follows:
  • Sydney - Eastern Creek NSW 2766, Mon-Fri from 9:30am - 4:30pm
  • Melbourne - Dandenong South VIC 3175, Mon-Fri from 7:00am to 3pm
When your order is ready for pickup we will contact you with a ready time and all the details you need to pickup your shelving.
HOW DO REGIONAL AND INTERSTATE DELIVERIES WORK?
For regional and interstate deliveries we obtain quotes from a number of different carriers in order to provide timely deliveries and the best possible prices.

We recommend palletising non-metro orders, because it helps protect the goods as they are handled and transported on the larger, longer-haul trucks. Palletisation does complicate matters however, as the freight companies require a forklift or pallet jack to be present at the receiving end for unloading. If you don't have a forklift/ pallet jack, we can deliver to a nearby freight depot, where you usually then have a few days to pickup the items and transport them to your location. Sometimes customers will have a friend or neighbouring business that is happy to receive the goods on their behalf.
CAN I ORGANISE MY OWN TRANSPORT?
Yes. If you have your own truck, have a freight account or if you have booked another load of freight and would like to piggyback your shelving order, that's not a problem. Just let us know and we will organise your order as a pickup.
